The Stables: Twin Apartment
A self-contained two-bed twin apartment which has been carefully restored keeping many original features. The interior log beams, cane roofing and rendered stone walls all add to the peaceful rustic ambience. Your accommodation consists of lounge, fully-equipped kitchen & dining area, twin bedroom, and en-suite bathroom with bath & shower facilities. The shuttered windows open onto views across the mountains & Olive Groves to the North, and to the Courtyard to the South.
The Hayloft: Double Apartment
As the name suggests, The Hayloft was originally an actual hayloft used for storing food for travellers Horses. It has now been converted by your hosts into a beaufiful open-plan split-level apartment. Your accommodation consists of a second-floor lounge with views across the Courtyard, the Pool Area & the surrounding mountains. A first-floor double bedroom, then down to the ground-floor kitchen/dining area and shower room. Don't worry - there are only a few steps up to each floor! As with all of Lagar Ruvira, the original features such as log beams, stone walls and cane roofing have been kept wherever possible. The Hayloft lounge is the highest point in Lagar Ruvira, and has a wonderful perspective on the villa.

Our Local Village
Seen in the distance across the mountains from Lagar Ruvira, Comares rises 739m above sea level. Historically it was the last Moorish stronghold, conquered by the Northern Catholic forces in 1487. There are cobbled streets with medieval arches, a 16th century Parish Church, and breathtaking views of the mountains and across to the sea. The village boasts 2 plazas, a small supermarket, post office, bank (with CashPoint), and two quaint bars for tapas and liquid refreshment. Find out more about Comares here.
Further Afield
Velez Malaga is around 30 minutes drive, and has a shopping centre, cinema, lots of supermarkets and a very popular Water Park. The nearest Beach resort is Torre Del Mar which has numerous beach cafes, tapas bars, restaurants, and of course the wonderful clean beaches themselves - a favourite spot for local Spanish families.
For those who wish to travel a bit further, Cordoba and Malaga are within 1 hours' travel. Granada, Alhambra and Seville are around 2 hours drive. Other resorts situated within the 1 hour boundary are Benalmadena, Marbella, Torrox, Fuengirola, Torremollenos and Arroyo De La Miel.
