Built around a central open-air courtyard 'Casa en la Colina' (House on the Hill) is a beautiful Spanish style villa which was purpose-built in an elevated position to face the entire Mediterranean coastline & valley!
The villa's elevated position and numerous sliding patio doors throughout, ensure one is able to take full advantage of the cooling valley breeze and extensive panoramic sea, mountain & country views from the living areas, pool and all terraces.
Fully equipped, home from home, and furnished to a high standard with ceiling fans throughout, there is a large kitchen, separate utility and a large lounge and dining room, separated by Spanish-style archways and columns. the 3 double bedrooms are light and spacious with built in wardrobes and have access, via patio doors, to either terracing or private balconies with views to the Mediterranean sea or countryside.
El Pinar is a small village nestled in the foothills of the Sierra los Filabres mountains, 1,200 feet above sea level, with its own bar/restaurant and is close to the delightful small towns of Bedar, Mojacar and Garrucha offering numerous Spanish and International restaurants. Local shops arre a 5-10 minute drive, so a car is necessary.
Views to the left include rolling hills and distant mountain ranges as they curved around the coastline. Ahead one can see the Mediterranean, valley & countryside. To the right, views include the Sierra Cabrera mountains and the white-washed historical villae of Mojacar.

Cots/high chairs can be arranged in advance for an additional fee. Wheelchair access to the swimming pool in not possible. However, there is wheelchair access to all living accommodation, inner courtyard, and sunny middle terrace, which are all on 1 level overlooking the swimming pool and magnificent coastal views. |

Nearest airport is Almeria - 30-45 minutes' drive and Alicante airport is 1hr 30mins-2hr drive. Nearest pub/restaurant is 0.3 miles (3 minutes stroll) from the villa, serving a la carte and snack menus.
Accommodation comprises: 1 double & 2 twin bedded rooms. Main bedroom, with access to mains terracing, was labelled the 'honeymoon suite' by the builders as the room was designed so that whilst laying in bed you can simply tilt your head & look down, through the glass patio doors, to the valley and sea below! Other 2 bed's have balconies. There are 2 bathrooms and a separate w.c. The en-suite master bathroom has 'his & hers' twin wash basins, toilet, bidet, shower cubicle and bath with shower over. Family bathroom again, has 2 'his & hers' basins, bath with shower over and toilet. Kitchen has a cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and iron. The kitchen is fully equipped 'home from home' with towels, appliances, crockery & cutlery and views from the kitchen towards the Mediterranean. The dining area has seating for 6 adults and there are 2 full length glass patio doors giving views towards the Mediterranean valley & mountains. The lounge, with wood burning fire, has 3 large patio doors wiith views from all sofas towards the panoramic sea, mountain & valley views.

Entertainment: CD centre/radio, television with English satelitte tv showing freeview channels (bring own tv card if want additional Sky channels) and video. Extensive collections of adult and children's videos, CD's, paperbacks, cards, dominoes and jigsaws provided.
Outside: Private pool, terrace, BBQ, parking, balcony, garden furniture. Built to take advantage of the views, Casa en la Colina faces the entire Mediterranean coastline and valley and therefore has spectacular views both by day and night.
Suitability: Children welcome, wheelchair access, suitable for Elderly. Sorry - no pets allowed. Smoking allowed.

Weekly rates are based on a 2 week stay and include electricity, mains water, weekly linen change, cleaning between lets and regular cleaning of swimming pool. For na 1 week stay please add a 10% supplement to the rental rates.
Booking week commences on a Saturday in mid/high season and is flexible in low season.

Golfing, horse riding, water ski-ing, diving, banana rides, water and theme parks, fishing, walking, tennis and 4 wheel drive and quad mountain tours. Obviously some of the above is seasonal.
There are numeous geographical variations for exploration, coastal coves, inhabited cave villages and inland desert areas.
El Pinar is an ideal base for those wishing to relax and unwind as it has good access to explore not only the more popular coastal resorts but is also close to the more traditional inland Spanish villages and towns on Lubrin, Serena, Bedar, Los Gallardos and Turre.
Open-air markets and bazaars take place most days in the surrounding villages and details of these markets are available at the villa.
For golfers there are approximately 8 golf courses, both 9 and 18-hole within a short drive.
For children there is a water park, go-karting, horse-riding, water sports and the 'Mini Hollywood' safari theme park which has daily 'shoot outs' staged during high season. The setting of the theme park was originally designed and used for Clint Eastwood to produce his spaghetti westerns, in particular 'fistful of dollars', 'a few dollars more' and 'the good, the bad & the ugly'!
