Set in the typically Spanish village of Ampuero, with all main facilities. Excellent area for outdoor acitivities. The River Ason runs alongside the apartment and the local municipal swimming pool is open from June to August. There are 2 pools and a lifeguard on duty. The coastal towns of Laredo, Santona and Noja are easily reached a 15 minute drive away, they offer great sandy beaches for watersports. Santander the large Spanish city is 30 minutes drive away and the cosmopolitan city of Bilbao is a 40 minutes drive away. The Guggenheim museum offers great cultural entertainment. This area offers great cuisine, and freshly caught local fish, there are excellent local markets in all towns offering food and clothes and local specialities. The ski resort of Alto Campoo and the mountain resort the Picos de Europas are just under 2 hours drive away. |
