The upstairs has two bedrooms and one bathroom, a large lounge/ dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are one double and one twin.
Downstairs is a self contained apartment, ideal for the teenagers, with twin beds, a shower room, toilet and washbasin.
The lounge has a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table and cable TV with multi lingual TV channels. There is also a satellite receiver which picks up additional german speaking stations.
The well equipped kitchen which has both a fridge and a freezer, gas hob and oven and microwave with grill. There is also an automatic washing machine and an electric iron and ironing board.
The property has shutters and mosquito nets on all the windows. Ceiling fans in the lounge and both upstairs bedrooms provide a gentle flow of air to ensure a pleasant nights sleep. For winter season breaks there are two portable gas heaters and a gas fire in the lounge.
At the front is a nice shaded sitting area and at the rear is an open terrace, with fitted wind breaks, and shaded with grape vines and other climbers, and outside furniture for those lazy evenings.

La Marina offers a relaxing holiday close to an undeveloped beach where the sound of the sea birds and the sounds of the waves are not drowned out by jet skis. Water sports are available in nearby Santa Pola, Guadamar and Torrevieja.
There are a selection of restaurants and bars within reasonable walking distance and more further afield (details of recommended restaurants are provided in the villa).
A car is not absolutely essential for your holiday, but is recommended in order to fully enjoy the surroundings area and to enable you to take advantage of all of the facilities the area has to offer.
There is a bus service into Alicante, Guadamar, the nearby fishing port of Santa Pola and further afield to Torrevieja. A local bus provides commuting to the nearby beach during the summer school holiday periods.
There are a number of well known golf courses, the most famous being La Manga with its three championship courses and the Villa Martin Complex. There is also Alicante Golf a course designed by Severiano Ballesteros

Leisure Interests
The Costa Blanca is an ideal spot for golfers, with a good choice of courses within easy reach.
Sea fishing is well catered for with trips available from nearby Santa Pola or shore fishing along the beach.
Those who like to get in amongst the fish have a protected marine environment to explore around the Islas de Tabarca, a mile or two offshore from Santa Pola from where there are boat trips to the island.

The equestrians among you can go horse riding, the nearest stables being about five miles away.
Ornithologists are well catered for as this is an extremely well populated area in wildlife terms. The local beach and dunes are home to a variety of shoreline waders, the ubiquitous gulls plus hoopoes and buzzards whilst south of Santa Pola, the salt lagoons are host to egrets, herons and large flocks of flamingoes.
If you want to join in you can launch yourself from the nearby Cabo de Santa Pola, close to the lighthouse and soar among the birds in a hang-glider.
Yachting is catered for with marinas at both Santa Pola and Alicante, the latter providing a few day charter opportunities. The more radical wind powered activities are in evidence at Arenales del Sol and Tamarit beach in Santa Pola, Playa Lisa, where kite surfing is also popular.
Tourist Attractions
Theme parks
Terra Mitica is just outside Benidorm, forty minutes drive away. Aqua parks are dotted all along the Costa Blanca, the biggest being Aqualandia, again near Benidorm. Smaller ones exost in Santa Pola and Torrevieja.
Zoos/ Safari parks
There are more of these than you can shake a stick at, the nearest being about five miles away between Santa Pola and Elche. The most extensive and most famous is Mundomar, a cross between a zoo and Seaworld. This is next door to Aqualandia near Benidorm.
Other Attractions
Karting - several tracks on the Costa Blanca, the best is south of Torrevieja on the N322.
Hot Air Ballooning near the town of Elche which is also home to a large Palm Forest for those of a horticultural bent.
Troglodytes and those with geological interests will no doubt wish to visit the prehistoric caves at Benidoleig or the nearer Cuevas del Canelobre just north of Alicante.
If local fiestas (festivals, not hire cars) are your thing then there are the Bonfires of San Juan (in Alicante) on the 24th of June.
During the last week in July there is the International Competition of Habeneras and Polyphony of Torrevieja lasting for five nights. The Misteri d´Elx (in Elche) is performed on the 14/15 August. Then at the end of September the Carthaginians and Romans celebration takes place in Cartagena.
There are also a number of museums, aquariums and art galleries plus places of archaeological and architectural interest within easy reach and if you get bored with building sand castles, you can visit some real ones.
